Artist Statement
From as early as I can remember, my eyes have been drawn to the beauty that surrounds me—nature’s grandeur, the play of light, the quiet mystery in the atmosphere, the sculptural elegance of rock formations, and the brilliance of human engineering. I often find myself wanting to pause time, to absorb it all. Photography became my way of doing just that: capturing fleeting moments so I could revisit and savor them again and again.
Yet over the years, I sensed something missing—an intangible depth that my images couldn’t quite convey. That feeling lingered, quietly urging me toward a deeper exploration. Without realizing it, I embarked on a soul-searching journey through my craft. It’s been emotional, exhilarating, and ongoing. With each photograph, I inch closer to something more complete. The process itself is healing—a space where I can express freely and without boundaries. This realization has fueled my evolution as an artist, pushing me to refine my style and pursue more expressive work.
In recent years, I’ve shifted from color to predominantly black and white photography. I find myself more captivated by the interplay of lines, textures, luminosity, motion, and atmosphere. Black and white allows these elements to speak more clearly, offering a deeper sense of satisfaction and connection.
Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’m surrounded by endless inspiration—beaches, mountains, forests—all within reach. Landscape remains my primary subject, but I don’t confine myself to it. I see art in many forms and places.
I invite you to join me in this journey—to discover joy and beauty through the lens of my work.
